Painting was completed plein air in three different sittings.  The stretch of rock shore is along the road traveling toward Lahaina, in Olowalu, very near "Leoda's Pie Shop! It was a clear sunny day with a sparkle on the waves and a lone sailboat anchored- I bet they were out there snorkeling!  A version of the painting is featured on the website of the author of "Talk Story Beach".
