"Grand Wailea Seaside Chapel" the inspiration behind this artwork stems from a collaborative, community-driven event: The "Best Maui Photo" Contest hosted in 2026.   The artist's followers voted on a selection of images to determine which one should be brought to life as a painting, and this particular scene was the winning choice. : The original photograph that inspired the painting was captured and submitted by Nancy Pannikat.
 Lush grounds at the resort, tiki torches, reflecting ponds and the vibrant stained glass windows are captured in oil paint.
