New Find! DeVine Wine Lounge

We were told it was a great spot! Score! It was! A wine and sprits bar with couches around small tables for a relaxing way to sip and chat with your friends.

They have a sense of humor as well.... DeVine is located in the Azeca Shopping Center , Makai side (means toward the ocean) next to Maui Pie. It looks like a simple store front outside but inside is a cozy oasis from the busy S. Kihei Road.

The menu has a nice selection of wines and spirits, plus food like simple salads, appetizers and charcuterie platters. Each platter is enough for two to three people, and sharing two with four people was ample food. They offer gluten free crackers as well for those of us with wheat issues.

They offer small wine flights and you can request all red or all white composition. Or just a glass of your favorite. And if you want to be so bold, you can buy it by the bottle.

Simple mixed drinks are also available. We sat at a high top table since we were going to share a meal of the charcuterie offerings and they were excellent with a nice variety of cheeses, meats, even salmon if you got the Fjord board.

This is a spot to gather and unwind and lounge. I'd not recommend big groups or children since it is a smaller space, but ample enough for diners or a cocktail to compare notes after a show at Pro Arts Theater which is just about next door. Comfy couches or tables or a regular bar with seating.

Next time I'll try a couch with a central table, maybe after my art show on a Thursday, that would be just the ticket!
