I Paint Feelings
Two recent clients gave me the background of the memory the painting would represent.
I made a giclee enlargement of a specific golf hole and scene: #17 Bay Course, Kapalua:
"Best Ball, Best View".

The memories rushed in as they unwrapped it and shared the story: "My wife and I got married on this peninsula 14 years ago and we golfed the hole with our son and daughter-in-law 10 years later on the day they told us they were expecting their first child. Interestingly, our 4 balls all cleared the bay and landed about where you placed them in the painting!" Every day they see the art work and remember their delight.
As a present to her parents who funded the wedding event in a very memorable spot in Kapalua, at Merriman's on Kapalua Bay, the bride asked me to capture the scene in oil paint ahead of the wedding for her parents as a gift after the ceremony. "heavy paint, impressionistic sunset". She provided photos of them as a couple, wedding attire, the family's attire and and the flowers and I did the rest:
"When You Say Nothing At All" - Sunset wedding at Merriman's, Kapalua.

Do you have a spot that has a special feeling to you? Can I have the privilege of creating an art work just for you to keep that memory close to your heart? I'd love to.
