A plein air painting on location with the classic Makena  blue waters on a bright sunny day. The beach  is shadowed a bit,  but in the sunny spots the honu (sea turtles) sleep and rest. The tide pools are shady, overhung with large Kiawe trees, making it a great spot to sit and paint out of the sun but in the view.  The  uninhabited islands of Kaho'olawe and Molokini are in the distance.
