Rusty, the undisputed king of the beach cats, the Mayor of the Wailea Beach Walk.

May he rest in peace with lots of toys, treats and catnip. He hung out along the Wailea Beach Path for more than 20 years, refusing to be adopted, loving instead to greet the Maui visitors and locals alike, getting a million pets a day.  Look for the group of beach path cats at sunset when they are hanging around after getting a snack. They are well looked  after by a goup of volunteers (including me as well at times)  managing the cat colony, but call the path their home. I posed the painting of Rusty and Felix together in some of the above images. Felix is still there near the same location on the beach path just a bit to the south.

Original is 11 x 14 oil on linen board.  The original oil painting was sold as a fund raiser to support the cat colony's cost of food and vet care. Rusty Mauicat Collective 501 (c) (3) non- profit receives the proceeds stemming from these sales

I will donate $10.00 from every Rusty 9 x 12 paper print, and $30 for every canvas giclee sale to the cat caretakers when purchased from my website.   Your purchase will include the "Rusty Book".

Giclee reproductions available.  Prices include S&H to USA destinations.
