The early evening after the sun has set is called "magic hour" in our household.  The colors linger and sometimes are brighter than the actual sunset.  A crescent Moon, Venus and early stars  stood out with the light from the  Moon and Venus reflected in the ocean, and the landscape was dotted with household lights coming on.
