South Maui sunset as viewed from the Humu Humu Restaurant at the Grand Wailea Resort.  I painted this piece for my art collectors. On location plein air sketches and working from their photos.  We worked together to edit the scene to bring them the view they wanted to remember, and place over their king size bed in Wailea, so they could see the perfect sunset every night before they went to sleep.  Bold colors of the sun setting, flickering torches reflecting in the pond, and palms swaying in the breeze. All the details adds a magical touch to the view!  Best part- we had a glass of wine together as they came to the studio/gallery to see the unvieling!
