This is a corner of Maalaea Bay, on Maui's longest stretch of uninterrupted shore. Sugar Beach, named for its fine white sand, is a six-mile-long beach excellent for swimming, snorkeling, windsurfing, kayaking, canoe paddling or for just relaxing. The vantage point from the top of the Sugar Beach resort gave me this scene. The Kumu farm lays between the section of the mountains in the valley in the distance.
