A plein air painting on location at a popular spot to put in your kayaks- Makena Landing, South Maui.  A beautiful sunny day, hardly a breeze. Wet and dry sand in the sun and shadows, lacy foam in the waves gently lapping the shore. I just put out my Tommy Bahama chair and and got to work.  The idea of the scene to paint came from a workshop I took a few months ago.  I'm still reworking the classes lessons in my head as I paint to reinforce the ideas.
