Art festival days in the Banyan Tree Park in Lahaina inspired me to paint this one section of the tree. It covers a whole acre of land and is hard to take in as a whole! The birds are chirping in the branches and you can see the harbor in the background. Its the center of town and a place to rest and eat a shave ice! A plein air creation and you can see it in progress in my pochade box (a portable easel and paint carrier)
